Dr. Arezu Jahani-Asl was born and raised in Mahabad. Completed Undergrad studies at the University of Toronto, Graduate studies at the University of Ottawa, and Post-doctorate studies at Harvard Medical School.
Presently Associate Professor of Medicine at McGill University and FRQS Scholar
Research Focus: brain diseases such as mental retardation and brain cancer. The seminar will focus on
adult glioblastoma, a cancer of the brain for which, presently, there is no cure. Dr. Jahani is addressing how these tumors form and grow.
