Director of Clinical Services
The MetroHealth System is seeking a Director of Clinical Services for our new 112 Bed Behavioral Health Hospital. The MetroHealth System is an integrated health system with an acute care hospital housing a Level I Adult Trauma and Burn Center, a skilled nursing facility and more than 25 locations throughout northeastern Ohio. It is an outstanding public, safety-net academic medical system affiliated with Case Western Reserve University and provides medical, pharmacy, dental, behavioral health, and vision services to diverse underserved communities in Cuyahoga County/Cleveland Ohio and surrounding areas. There is a strong tradition of inter professional, integrated care service delivery models, an APA-accredited doctoral clinical psychology internship, and a robust post-doctoral fellowship program. Psychologists at MetroHealth are full members of the medical staff and have faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve University with expectations for scholarly activity.
The Director of Clinical Services will develop, plan and supervise behavioral health clinical services within the acute inpatient hospital and associated outpatient services (IOP/PHP). The DCS will provide clinical supervision over licensed and unlicensed professional staff. The DCS will assess the quality of social and therapeutic services provided to patients and families. Assure maintenance of standards of quality behavioral services as defined by professional bodies, The Joint Commission and other accrediting organizations with assistance of the Chief Clinical Officer. Coordinates and assures behavioral services representation at treatment planning conferences. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Because of the strong commitment to the needs of the community, the MetroHealth System is building a new 112-bed behavioral health hospital in Cleveland Heights, Ohio with specialized units including: adolescents, geropsychiatry, adult psychiatric intensive care, adult dual diagnosis, adult thought disorders, and adult mood disorders. Partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment programs will be attached to this hospital as well.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Doctorate in psychology from an APA-accredited college or university program with an emphasis in clinical/health psychology OR child & adolescent clinical psychology
Doctoral internship in clinical/counseling/health psychology in an APA-accredited program
Completion of a psychology post-doctoral fellowship or at least 5 years’ experience in an acute behavioral health care setting
Current, valid, unrestricted licensure to practice as a Psychologist in Ohio by start date
Eligibility for ABPP Board certification
Background and experience in training, program development and collaborative research
Training and experience in at least one of the following
Acute adolescent inpatient settings
Acute adult inpatient setting
Geriatric inpatient treatment
Acute substance abuse treatment
Intensive outpatient/partial hospitalization programs
Experience with diverse patient populations. Bilingual in Spanish is desirable.
Experience in leading new initiatives and interdisciplinary collaboration.
